Absentee Line-
Please call the Absentee line through the main office if your child will be absent for school. 781-925-4400.
Birthday Celebrations-
In Pre-kindergarten we will be celebrating each birthday in a special way. Due to the Jacobs Elementary School’s no party foods policy, I ask that you do not send in baked goods or snacks. If you would like to send something in to help celebrate your child’s birthday, pencils, little party favor toys, stickers, etc. are all great options.
We will sing the birthday song during snack time and I always make the birthday boy or girl a special hat.
Classroom Supplies-
The classroom “giving tree” wish list will be sent home periodically throughout the year. Thank you for all donations in advance!
Communication-
Communication between home and school is very important. If you have any questions, concerns or feedback about the classroom please do not hesitate to call or email me.

Home Practice-
Nightly homework is not required in Pre-Kindergarten. On occasion, there will be take home family activities you may participate in and return for display. Optional work may also be sent home. If you are looking for activities to work on at home, see the home practice link on my web page. I would be happy to provide you with some take home practice sheets as well. All parents are encouraged to read to their child for at least 20 minutes every night.
Lunch-
Lunch is free for all students the entire 2022-23 school year.
Newsletters-
I will be sending out all classroom news on my Seesaw page. I will help everyone sign into my site during the month of September. All reminders, pictures of class events, upcoming special events, etc. will be posted on this site. If you would like a hard copy of the news letter let me know.
Parent Volunteers-
I love having parents help in our classroom. In order to volunteer, you will need to fill out a CORI form at the beginning of the school year. New CORI forms are required each school year. CORI forms must be filled out in person at the front office. A copy of your driver’s license will be taken at that time.
Scholastic Book Orders-
Book orders will be sent home four times during the year. The book orders are a great way to purchase inexpensive books for your child. With every purchase I receive bonus points and I am able to purchase books for our classroom library.
You may choose to order books for your child online or send in an order form and check made payable to, Scholastic Reading Clubs. Scholastic Reading Clubs does not accept cash. The scholastic website is www.scholastic.com/bookclubs and the one time class activation code is G963T. Books ordered online will still be sent directly to the classroom and your child will bring them home.
* If you are buying a book as a gift for your child’s birthday or for a holiday, please let me know and you can pick up the books directly from me.
